Fix Credit is a corporation founded in 2006 in Puerto Rico and arises from the need for consumers in Puerto Rico, the United States and the US Virgin Islands to defend their rights to have a fair credit report.

The reality is that there is still a shortage of information on how the credit system works.

According to the statistics, 7 out of 10 citizens have incorrect or inaccurate information in their credit report and according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the information in the credit reports must be accurate and corroborable.

If you understand that there is an error in your credit report, whether from the lenders, from the credit bureaus or if the adverse information has already met the penalty time on your credit report, you have the right to submit a dispute for that information to be corrected.

HOW DOES IT WORK

The first step is to fill out the service request and authorize the Fix Credit company to help you in the process of rectifying your credit, for this you can call (787) 941-1212 or you can go to our "Request Service" Tab, fill out the form, choose the payment alternative you want and by submitting you will be accepting the terms and conditions to start working with your case.
With the information provided by you, we will request your three credit reports, which will be sent by the Credit Bureaus (Experian, TransUnion and Equifax) to your postal address. We can also request credit reports through a phone call or online.
The credit reports take two to four weeks to arrive if they are requested by mail and 7 to 10 days if they are requested by phone. Based on the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), we are going to prepare some claims to dispute the inaccurate, non-ascertainable information or that has expired with the penalty time. In accordance with this federal law, Credit Bureaus have 30 to 45 business days to respond, such response will also be received by mail.
The results will identify the corrections made by the Credit Bureaus and it is established whether the complete credit rectification was achieved, if not, another round of disputes can be prepared.
